Health Secrets of Coconut Aminos
When the coconut tree is tapped it produces a nutrient-rich “sap” that exudes from the coconut blossoms, the sap is very low glycemic(GI of only 35), and contains a wide range of minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, 17 amino acids, and has a nearly neutral pH.
The “Gran Molucas Sea Salt” used in our Coconut Aminos Gamers its name from the exotic tropical island of Mindanao, the 2nd largest island in Philippines. It is surrounded on all sides by converging pacific ocean waters – the Sulu Sea to the West, the Celebes Sea to the South and the Philippine Sea to the East.
A local culinary heritage in Mindanao, this unbleached, unrefined, naturally white sea salt is fed only by the sun and the sea, It is hand-harvested by local salt producers working as their forefathers did, in their ancestral salt fields.
After many day of labor, the salt is then sun-dried (to evoporate excess moisture) in open-air cages lined with clay bricks. The result is a distinely flavorful and nutritious, mineral-rich, unrefined sea salt.
Use Coconut Aminos like sauce in dressings, marinades, sautes, and other sushi! “We love it so much we pour it over almons everything.”
